Taynal Mosque
Description
One of the most beautiful mosque of Tripoli, having beautiful ornamentation that recalls Cairo Structures. Taynal was the Vice sultanate governor of Tripoli. Built on 1377on the ruins of a crusader church, or on a Roman temple for Zeus, this mosque. The minaret is very special having two stairs leading to 2 different ways, one upstairs and the other toward the interior of the mosque. The windows on the minaret have been closed, and this mosque was used to judge between people.
